狗年旺旺

Hello, it's me, LL, on Chinese New Year greeting duty again. The slave had decided that like last year, I should have a festive photograph taken. You would think that it being the year of the dog, I would have more say. No such luck for me. The slave did not want me to pose with mandarin oranges since I pounced on them. I was caught peeing on the potted plants so I was forbidden from going near those too. In the end, I had to take my photograph with a stupid paper bag. To protest the indignity of it, I sulked throughout the photography session.

Being a responsible canine, I will still do what the slave wants me to do. I wish everyone a prosperous Chinese New Year. Woof woof!

祝大家新年快乐,狗年旺旺

A Good Start

I am back! Shopping was blah. The local labels had disappointing offerings this season and the shoes I wanted were sold out. Certainly did not expect my best buy to be the Microplane grater that was on sale. Fared better when it came to food with the highlight being dinner at Tetsuya's. Just give me some time to organise the write up and photographs.

An ex colleague gave me tickets to catch the new year's eve fireworks. Y, thank you for your generosity. Thus we ushered in 2006 standing on the Cahill Expressway which overlooks the Sydney Habour Bridge where the fireworks were set off. I wished I had better photos to show but the front was crowded and my camera had bad flash. The fireworks still looked spectacular from where I was standing though, a truly excellent start to the new year.
