Menu For Hope III - Food And Zen

During this festive season while we indulge in good food, let us not forget that there are still many people suffering from hunger and poverty. This year, Menu for Hope III is raising funds for the UN World Food Programme which provides aid to refugees and others in need.

The campaign runs from the 11th to the 22nd of December. Every US$10 donated gets you one raffle ticket. The prizes contributed by food bloggers around the world are like a foodie's wildest dream comes true: cook books, exotic food, meals at restaurants and experiences with well known food bloggers and chefs.

Dinner With The Food Bloggers

A year after the first gathering, Singapore food bloggers met again on the 26th of August for dinner at Sage. Kudos to Colin for organising a wonderful dinner and Aun for acquiring sponsors like Razor Sharp, BATS and Gryphon Tea Company for the gifts and lucky draw prizes. There were even home made chocolate kindly provided by Julius Truffles.

It had been great fun catching up with fellow food bloggers who attended last year's lunch and getting to know the ones who just joined. The dinner was delicious but it was the company of fabulous people that made this gathering truly memorable.

Meet The Floggers

Today at Mag's Wine Kitchen, over an excellent five course meal and free flow champagne sponsored by Veuve Clicquot, Cheat Eat meet Aromacookery meet Chubby Hubby meet Como Quieras meet Dim Sum Dolly meet Eatzybitzy meet Kitchen Crazy Daffy meet Kuidaore meet Nibble & Scribble meet She Bakes And She Cooks meet The Adventures of the Tastebuds meet Umami. There are goodie bags and a lucky draw courtesy of BATS Singapore. There is even a reporter from the local newspaper. I hope there are no photographs of me stuffing my face with food.

A big thank you to June, Gwenda and Aun for organising the luncheon. I have had loads of fun. It is wonderful meeting everyone and putting faces to the food blogs that I have been reading and admiring for months.
