After reading so many chocolatey posts from other food blogs, I can no longer ignore my own chocolate craving. Resistance is futile, I caved in and bought some chocolates today.
I have not heard of this brand before but according to Chocz's website, it is a Malaysian company having several outlets in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. It's chocolates contain no alcohol and are certified Halal so Muslims can enjoy them too. The fillings have a decidedly Asian slant using ingredients one normally do not associate with chocolate like basil, durian, lemongrass and cardamon. As of this moment, I have work my way through the lemongrass and the basil pralines and I must say I really like them. The smooth chocolate is not too sweet and complements the fillings perfectly. I never thought basil will tastes so good with bitter sweet ganache.
If I cannot squeeze into my new mini skirt after this chocolate binge, have I mentioned that it is a size S, I am blaming Renee, Mik and umami : )
Halal chocolates, what a good idea. In time for Hari Raya too. Thanks ST.

Hey, that is a good idea and the chocs will make good gifts for muslim friends too. I did not think of that yesterday. I was too busy hiding the chocolates from my family.
